Clayton Park Bakery, the award-winning Accrington food firm, has announced the launch of a new home delivery service. Throughout lockdown the company started receiving requests for an online ordering service with delivery. Now the top regional bakery has listened and is going live on Monday 4th October 2021 with their new shopping site – https://www.pietastic.com/home-delivery/
Customers living in the firm’s local area (BB1 to BB12) will receive delivery from Clayton Park Bakery’s own fleet of low carbon vans. Anyone living further afield will be eligible for delivery from a third-party courier, with a limited range of products available due to their date life and how well they can travel.
Barry Thomas, Managing Director at Clayton Park Bakery, explained:
“We’ve been working hard throughout the Covid-19 pandemic to keep on baking. We’ve seen really strong demand and that’s why we’re starting the home shopping service. It’s an innovation that came directly from customer requests. We listened and took positive action.
“Our focus is, and always has been, on the customers. This new home shopping facility means we can provide a better and faster service, so everyone’s a winner.”
Deliveries will be of the usual highest standards so customers can be sure of the top-quality products they have come to expect from Clayton Park Bakery. Once an order is ready it will be delivered directly to the customer’s house, workplace, or any other postal address within the UK.
The first customer to receive delivery from this exciting new venture will be England Cricket and broadcast legend David “Bumble” Lloyd, a big supporter of Clayton Park’s products including their pies, cakes, bread, fresh cream cakes, sandwiches and cookies.
David said: “I love picking up my favourite Clayton Park products from my local shop but how amazing is it that we can now get them delivered to our homes!”
“For those that haven’t enjoyed Clayton Park products before or have maybe tried a pie at the football, you now have the opportunity to try the full delicious range.”
Clayton Park Bakery are also running an extra special competition, whereby the 100th customer to complete an order via their new home shopping site will get a £50 order for free.
Founded in 1995, Clayton Park began by selling pies and sausage rolls from their stall Greens at Blackburn Market. Since then the firm has gone from strength to strength. They attribute this success to their excellent products, loyal highly skilled workforce and enviable customer service.
