Accrington-based Property Shop were recently rewarded for being one of the leading estate agents in Hyndburn by being selected to appear in an episode of BBC TV show Homes Under The Hammer.
The episode aired live on BBC One on Tuesday 14th June at 10.45am, with Paul Sutton, Sales Director at Property Shop, using his expert advice to offer both a sales and rental valuation for a recently renovated property on Cross Street, Accrington.
The property which was initially bought in June 2021 at auction for £37,000, has undergone major renovation work including moving the toilet from one end of the first floor to the other end of the second floor. That move allowed for the single bedroom to be upgraded to a small double, while a brand new kitchen was also installed and the full property was plastered, painted and carpeted.
Accrington has a high demand for renovated properties, from both a first time buyer point of view but also for investors who want to add it to their portfolio for rental purposes and it’s Property Shop’s expert knowledge of the local area and ability to offer quality advice on such properties which saw them chosen for the BBC programme.
Mr Sutton commented: “It was an unusual experience going on TV, I’ve never done it before, but I really enjoyed it and it has been great watching it back, albeit a bit surreal.
