Accrington Stanley Women have announced that Hyndburn Borough Council will be the club’s brand-new sleeve sponsor on a 12-month deal.

The agreement will see the Hyndburn Borough Council logo added to the sleeves of shirts worn by all Accrington Stanley Women’s age groups, from junior level right through to open age.

Back in August, iMEP International Music Event Production were named as front of shirt sponsors, with the club then boasting 220 players. Since then, the club has continued to grow, and Hyndburn Borough Council’s new sponsorship deal will support Stanley Women in providing shirts for over 260 players across the club’s age groups.

The newly sponsored kit was launched ahead of Accrington Stanley Women’s historic second-round Adobe Women’s FA Cup tie against Huddersfield Town Women at the Wham Stadium on Sunday.

To mark the announcement, which is part of the Council’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, a signed framed shirt was presented to dignitaries from Hyndburn Borough Council, by Stanley Women Chair Sami Smithson, Head Coach James Mallett and several first team players.

Produced by Macron and available in women’s fit, the Stanley Women’s home, away and third kits can be purchased online here: https://asw.secure-decoration.com/

Sami Smithson, Chairperson of Accrington Stanley Women, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Hyndburn Borough Council for becoming our new sleeve sponsor.

“As a club we are growing and growing, and support like this is so important for us to continue taking those next steps on our journey.”

Cllr Kimberley Whitehead, Portfolio Holder for Culture, Heritage and Arts, said: “We are proud to support Accrington Stanley Women with this new sponsorship deal.

“Stanley Women have over 260 players across all age groups, and with a significant number of girls and women from Hyndburn playing for this club, we were keen to showcase our support for our local women’s team.”

Hyndburn Borough Council are the latest Hyndburn-based organisation to support Accrington Stanley Women, joining front-of-shirt sponsors iMEP, Sundown Solutions who are back-of-shirt sponsors, HML Recycling and many more.
