Accrington Stanley will hand out up to 160 free tickets for every home game next season (subject to capacity), valued at more than £90,000 over the 2024/25 campaign.

Working in partnership with the Accrington Stanley Community Trust, the tickets will be distributed to adults and U17s for home matches at the Wham stadium.

Local schools will also be involved in the giveaway, with the aim to help people who are usually unable to attend matches to get the chance to enjoy a Football League match at Accrington Stanley.

The giveaway comes on the back of Accrington Stanley’s annual ‘big shirt giveaway’ which sees ever Year 3 student in Hyndburn receive a brand new Accrington Stanley shirt.

That initiative will return for the eighth time this September, meaning over £250k has now been invested in the shirt giveaway project by Stanley Chairman, Andy Holt.

Accrington Stanley have also worked on various other campaigns to get more supporters to the Wham Stadium, including the recent “Mosque Walk to the Match” which saw over 30 children and adults from Raza Jamia Masjid walk from the mosque to the Wham Stadium, where they then got to watch Stanley’s home match against Crewe Alexandra.

Plans are already in place for the next “Mosque Walk to the Match” which will see other fans joining the walk to the stadium, with supporters flags also to be included as part of the spectacle.

Accrington Stanley Chairman, Andy Holt, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Community Trust to distribute free tickets for every home game next season.

“As a club we are passionate about reaching people across our community and we want to do whatever we can to make visiting the Wham Stadium more accessible for all.

“We have an exciting season ahead with John and Ged at the helm and through this initiative, we look forward to seeing plenty of new fans at the Wham Stadium over the next few years.”
