Accrington’s Halloween Trick or treat week is back!
Accrington Trick or treat week is back after last year’s success and local businesses are getting into the ‘spirit’ to make sure children have a frighteningly fun Halloween.
The trick or treat trail will run Monday 22nd-Wednesday 31st October
Hosted by #AmazingAccrington and sponsored by Studio, Property Shop Estate Agents and Hyndburn Council, the trick or treat week gives children under 12 an activity trail around the local area and a chance to win some awesome prizes.
Steven Chippendale, Joint Managing Director of Property Shop said:
“20 local outlets will have stamps available, children need to collect a stamp from at least 10 outlets, return their Trick or Treat Trail to us at Property Shop Estate Agents and be in with a chance to win. Along the way there may be some sweet treats too! We are really pleased to be part of the trail this year, hopefully we get a lot of little ghosts and ghouls through the door throughout the week.”
Paul Kendrick, Managing Director at Studio @ Express gifts said:
“It’s a brilliant idea and we are excited to be one of the sponsors this year, plus have donated the first prize of a £100 voucher to spend with us. It’s great to see so many other local businesses getting involved too, it’s so important to engage with the local community. I hope everyone has a great time doing the trail.”
Simply trick or treat at the participating outlets and gain a stamp. After a minimum of 10 are gained the completed trail must be taken to Property Shop Estate Agents on Blackburn Road before 4 pm on Friday 2nd November to be entered into the prize draw!
- 1st Prize – £100 Studio @ Express Gifts voucher
- 2nd Prize – Family ticket to The North Pole Experience at The Ballroom
- 3rd Prize – Sweet Treats Hamper
Miles Parkinson, Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council said:
“Last year was so much fun, I’m looking forward to seeing the town busy and excited. Some children even collected all the available stamps which I think is wonderful. Not only does it give children something fun to do during half term it gets people venturing into stores they may have forgotten about.”
Children can collect their trail from any participating outlet:
Church St. Chippy, Crafts Arcade, Mannings, o2, Abbey Friar, One Planet, Boutique 23, Café 33, Sue’s Place, Best Destinations, Broadway News and Cards, Imposta Coffee, Julie at Barbara Kays, All Fruits, Space 2 Make, Branded Clearance, Abbey Street Shopping Centre, Sweet Treat Designs, Accrington Stanley, Property Shop Estate Agents.
Murray Dawson, Chairman of the #AmazingAccrington initiative and Managing Director of event organisers, Scott Dawson Advertising, said:
“Last year was the first Trick or Treat Trail in Accrington and it was a great success, so we had to do it again! Children got all dressed up and were active with their families and friends around town which was great to see. I would like to say a huge thankyou to all the sponsors for making it possible.”
