#AmazingAccrington is an initiative to support Hyndburn, bringing together business leaders, Hyndburn Borough Council, and our MP to rally support for the area and bring forward projects to benefit residents.
We celebrate success and our local independents, and recently announced an exciting programme of events for 2021, alongside delivering a magazine to promote our Shop Local retail initiative, which went to every household in Hyndburn.

Collette King – HR Director – Studio Retail Ltd
Collette is a commercial, business focused leader with a professional background in Human Resources, Organisational Development and Business Transformation. Collette has a proven track record of success within retail, leisure, private and public sector organisations. Collette has strong Human Resources leadership with strategic project implementation and management experience and is Performance and results orientated and delivery-focused.
Morag Davies – Assistant Principal for the Nelson and Colne College Group and Centre Principal for Accrington and Rossendale College
Morag is a highly experienced teacher, manager and senior leader in further education and is currently the Assistant Principal for the Nelson and Colne College Group and Centre Principal for Accrington and Rossendale College, with responsibility for the college’s vocational and technical full-time programmes. Morag has raised the college’s national profile through the development and introduction of the new level 3 T level qualifications, developed in collaboration with employers, and has worked closely with the Department for Education on the development of new study programmes. She chairs the Lancashire Digital Routeway Network, a LEP and Gatsby-supported group aimed at developing sector-leading digital education across the county. Morag is passionate about joining up education and business to provide a talent pipeline for the region’s employers.
