Over seventy representatives from local catering outlets attended the Council’s free Food Safety and Allergen workshops recently.
Forty nine local businesses, including pubs, cafes and restaurants, pizza and kebab shops and retailers took part. They were provided with free food safety and allergen information by members of the Council’s Food & Safety Team, Liberata and Lancashire County Council Trading Standards team.
Cllr Paul Cox, Cabinet Member for Food Safety, said; “We’re really pleased that so many local food and catering businesses took part in the workshops which were really interesting, informative and interactive.”
Shahed Mahmood, President of Hyndburn Chamber of Trade attended the workshops. He said; “it was great to see Hyndburn food businesses at the workshops which were informative and gave valuable information relating to food safety.”
