The Property Shop Arena, Accrington Cricket Club, is gearing up to host Accrington’s first ever Bike Fest.
Taking place on Sunday 7thApril 2019, 11am to 3pm, the new event is an initiative aiming to encourage more people to get involved within the community, particularly with sport and activity.
#AmazingAccrington are working in partnership with event sponsors, Coach House and North Lancs Training Group to make sure there is lots to see and do on the day. With 25 stalls confirmed as attending, the Bike Fest will be suitable for beginners and pros!
Confirmed activities include:
- Pump Track (kindly borrowed from Blackburn and Darwen Council)
- Two led bike rides (conventional and electric)
- Smoothie maker bike from Go Velo for people to try
- Accrington Stanley Commnity Trust shoot out challenge
- Fair-ground rides for children
- British Transport Police security marking bikes free of charge
- Incredible Edibles: learn how to plant for summer (with free seeds)
- Gin and beer bar open in Accrington Cricket Club Clubhouse for a tipple or two
- Adapted bikes on display
- Bike swap
- Bike donation
- Raleigh Chopper Bikes on display
- Bike Doctor: bring yours along to be fixed
- Softball cricket sessions with Accrington Cricket Club All Stars
- Free Studio water bottles for the first 100 children attending
- Pies for sale from Clayton Park Pies
- Cherrytree Bakery cakes on offer
- Ice cream and soft drinks
- NLTG fixing bikes and promoting courses
- Property Shop gang out in full force to say hello to everyone
