Warrantywise, one of Britain’s largest car warranty companies, has had a record year in sales growth. They are celebrating an outstanding 55% growth in sales year on year, which is remarkable in the tough business conditions of the global pandemic.
Lawrence Whittaker, CEO of Warrantywise, attributes this to a number of reasons: “We’ve had a fantastic year for sales, and worked really hard on setting goals to achieve this. We hired a new Chief Sales Officer, Mark Khan; invested in our IT to keep our systems ahead of the game; and also have seen consumer trends which have benefited us. People are keeping their cars longer and not upgrading them, and coming to us for a warranty for peace of mind on an older car. People are buying inexpensive used cars as they prefer to use those rather than use public transport in these times. We’ve seen an increase in our lower value car warranties being sold, alongside growth in all areas of our business.”
In order to manage the huge growth, Warrantywise are installing a new £500,000 first floor development in their flagship head office, to enable them to double the size of the sales floor. The stunning, fully glass walled building will now have capacity for 124 in the sales team, bringing the total team size to 200. This is doubling the size of the current sales team, and requiring a recruitment drive when the works are finished.
The works when complete represent a £500k investment in the building, and since Warrantywise made it their headquarters a total of £4m has been spent on purchasing and improving the Rocket Centre.
Sara Britcliffe, MP for Hyndburn and Haslingden, said: “I’m delighted to see further growth for Warrantywise, creating additional jobs in Hyndburn. The building really is a flagship and shows off just how much Lawrence is prepared to invest for the future. Really great news!”
