ACCRINGTON kicked off its first-ever Trick or Treat Week this Halloween.
Trick or Treat Week is a collaboration between Accrington and Rossendale College and Accrington-based estate agents Duckworths in a bid to get school children out and about during half term.
Children in the borough can pick up an entry card at the Town Hall, or any participating outlet, and embark on a ghastly walk around town, filling up Halloween buckets and collecting stamps to be entered into a frightfully fun prize draw.
The aim is to make ten visits from the list of shops on the card and return it to the entry box at the Town Hall for a chance to win. Entry cards can also be downloaded from www.amazingaccrington.co.uk.
Over twenty businesses are taking part in Accrington’s Trick or Treat Week, offering children something fun and free to do during half-term.
Prizes for those who can collect ten stamps including a Kindle Fire, a family ticket to ‘Return to Narnia’ – an interactive show by Just Imagine North West – and a deluxe Halloween sweetie hamper.
