The Vita Group in Accrington have donated hundreds of Easter eggs to a number of local partners.
The generous donations were made to Maundy Relief, St Anne’s and St Joseph’s RC Primary School and the Royal Preston Hospital.
One of Europe’s leading flexible foam solution providers, Vita Accrington (Caligen Foam) is a key part of the company’s technical division and employs 150 people in Hyndburn.
A key employer in Hyndburn, the Easter donations continue The Vita Group’s work in the community, which has also seen them visit local schools with fellow #AmazingAccrington business leaders to showcase the opportunities available.
Angela Mistry, Commercial Manager at The Vita GroupAccrington, said: “We are celebrating the 60th anniversary of Vita Accrington and have visited Maundy Relief, St Anne’s and St Joseph’s RC Primary School and the Royal Preston Hospital to share some eggs for Easter as part of our 60 acts for the local community.”
Karen Sanderson, a Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse at the Royal Preston Hospital, said: “We would like to say thank you to Vita for their generous donation of Easter eggs. It is really nice to be spoilt while we are looking after our very deserving patients. Thank you very much!”
Teresa Fitzjohn, Drop-in Manager at Maundy Relief, commented: “On behalf of everyone here at Maundy Relief, I would like to thank Vita for the kind donation. This will go such a big way towards all the children in Hyndburn, and they will go in the food parcels for the people that can’t afford to buy Easter eggs this year.”
